To everyone’s bewilderment, the Korean drama ,Alchemy Of Souls, which has stunning cinematography and an all-star cast, has finished its first season after 20 episodes of suspenseful, fantastical secrets that only scratch the surface of the series’ expansive backstory.

It has been announced that season 2 of Alchemy of Souls will premiere in December 2022.

Ten episodes, or half as many as the first season’s total, will make up the second season when it returns.

Cast Of Alchemy Of Souls Season 2

The vast bulk of the original cast members will come back to reprise their roles except for the female lead. Alchemy Of Souls season 2’s first look and teaser indicate that Lee Jae Wook and Go Yoon Jung will return as members of the main cast, playing Jang Uk and Naksu, respectively.

Returning cast members include Yoo Joon Sang as Park Jin, Hwang Min Hyun as Seo Yul, Shin Seung Ho as Go Won, and Oh Na Ra as Kim Do Ju. Alchemy Of Souls’ second season will include Arin from Oh My Girl as Jin Cho Yeon.

However, there is still speculation around the return of Jung So Min, who was a female lead in season 1. Several reports indicated that she will not return for the second season as her body is already petrified in season 1.

In the previous episode, we saw for the sake of her soul, Naksu perform a spell while Jang Uk searches for a lone sorcerer who can assist him.

Meanwhile, Mu-Deok is transported to a new Master. Uk tried to persuade her but she rejected his alliance. In another scene, we can see My-Deok establishing rules before starting the formal training.

In another scene, the Crown Prince demands an heirloom as a token of respect during his visit to Jang home. UK and Mu-Deok both came to a deserted cottage as she exerts potential pressure on her pupil while UK is practicing at his facility.

In the middle of the episode, Gil-ju persuades Naksu to obtain a body as he wanders in the town in order to eat. However, Uk kept following him from behind.
