In Sweet Home, Netflix’s new Korean sci-fi series, a ragtag group of neighbors must band together to save humanity from bloodthirsty monsters hell-bent on destruction. The K-drama has only been available to stream for three days, but it’s already catapulted into Netflix’s Top 10 list, and it’s only a matter of time before it nabs the top spot.

Sweet Home Netflix fans who have already finished the 10-episode series likely have one question: will there be more episodes of Sweet Home? Is there a Sweet Home Season 2 release date yet? Here’s everything we know so far about this apocalyptic drama!

WHAT IS THE SWEET HOME NETFLIX SHOW ABOUT?

Based on on a comic of the same name by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan, Sweet Home follows the residents of an apartment complex, the Green Houses, as they fight to survive a monster invasion. Over the course of 10 episodes, the characters of Sweet Home must decide whether to team up or go at it alone, a process that tests relationships and loyalties.

WILL THERE BE A SWEET HOME NETFLIX SEASON 2?

As of now, Netflix has not renewed Sweet Home for a second season. However, given how popular the K-drama seems to be with audiences (the series is currently #7 on Netflix’s Top TV Shows in the U.S. list), it seems likely that fans will be treated to more episodes.

Plus, if Netflix does decide to pursue a Sweet Home Season 2, producers will have plenty of material to draw upon. The original Sweet Home Webtoon series contains 140 chapters, and Reddit users have pointed out that certain storylines, including Hyun-su’s (played by Song Kang), were not fully explored in the series. Let’s hope that additional Sweet Home installments continue to flesh out the complex world laid out in the comics.

WHEN WILL WE KNOW THE SWEET HOME SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE?

Unfortunately, fans will probably be waiting for the Sweet Home Season 2 release date for quite a while. If the Korean drama is renewed and manages to keep the same production schedule (of course, COVID-19 may complicate that), it’s possible it could debut in late 2021.

SWEET HOME HYUN SU: WHO PLAYS HYUN SU?

Netflix’s new Korean drama is anchored by the story of Cha Hyun Soo, a high school student who has just moved into the Green Houses. Hyun Soo is played by Song Kang, best known for roles in TV series  Love Alarm and When the Devil Calls Your Name.
