Liverpool vs West Ham‘s match started with full attacking forces.
ANFIELD, LIVERPOOL — Liverpool extended their fine start to the new Premier League season as they saw off a spirited West Ham United to win 3-1 at Anfield.
The Reds took the lead early in the first half when Mohamed Salah converted a penalty he had won in being tripped by Nayef Aguerd.
But the visitors fought back to deservedly level it up, the impressive Jarrod Bowen expertly placing a diving header in the corner of the Kop end goal.
A largely even contest continued into the second half, but it was the hosts who pushed ahead when Darwin Nunez poked home from Alexis Mac Allister’s sumptuous dink.
And Jurgen Klopp’s side kicked on from there, eventually making it three as substitute Diogo Jota scored from close range following a corner.

West Ham played well for large parts of this game but couldn’t stick with their hosts after they went up a gear around the hour mark.

West Ham have looked threatening from set-pieces all afternoon but it’s Liverpool who finally get a goal from one.
Van Dijk rises highest to nod a Robertson corner back across goal and Jota is on hand for an easy close-range tap-in. That should be the three points.
