The latest film from Happy Madison Productions, “The Out-Laws,” is a disappointing blend of action and comedy that fails to deliver consistent laughs. Starring Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin, the film falls flat in its attempt to provide genuine humor.
Owen Browning, played by Adam Devine, is a straight-laced bank manager who is about to marry the love of his life, Parker (Nina Dobrev). However, when his bank is held up by the notorious Ghost Bandits during his wedding week, Owen suspects that his future in-laws, who have just arrived in town, may be the infamous Out-Laws.
According to a report by Joblo.com, Happy Madison Productions, known for its mediocre comedies, has once again failed to produce a standout film. “The Out-Laws” suffers from a desperate unevenness, with Brosnan and Barkin being one of the few highlights in an otherwise lackluster movie.
