Manchester United vs Lyon LIVE predictions and team news as Jonny Evans could make second debut
Man United take on French side Lyon in their second pre-season friendly in Edinburgh on Wednesday afternoon.
Manchester United return to action on Wednesday for their second friendly of pre-season.
United eased to a 2-0 victory against Leeds United in Oslo last week and will come up against French side Lyon in Edinburgh next, with kick-off coming at 2pm.
Erik ten Hag’s side was predominantly made up of youngsters in Norway and although the majority of his first-team squad have been left out after only returning to training on Saturday, he does have a few more senior players to call upon.
Antony, Fred and Donny van de Beek have all been included in the squad for the trip to Scotland as has Jonny Evans. The veteran defender has been training at Carrington this summer to maintain his fitness as he looks for a new club and has signed a short-term deal in order to take part in pre-season.
Evans left United in 2015 after over a decade with a club and could make a second debut against Lyon.
Date, kick-off time and venue
Man United vs Lyon is scheduled for a 2pm BST kick-off today, Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
