Janelle Monae exposed her breast by lifting up her tiny bra top as she performed live on stage during the 2023 Essence Music Festival on Friday in New Orleans.
The I Like That hitmaker, 37, who recently posed topless on the cover of Rolling Stone earlier this month, notably admitted to the outlet that she feels ‘much happier when my t**ties are out.’
The Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery actress could be seen wearing a black and white-striped bikini top along with matching shorts as she took to the stage in front of the cheering crowd.
The star additionally threw on a patterned hat that partially covered her long locks to complete her overall ensemble for the festivities. At one point during the night, the music artist lifted up the right side of the bikini top while on stage.
The beauty, who recently released her new album titled The Age Of Pleasure on June 9, continued to belt out notes into the microphone during the action.

At another point of the performance at the festival, which kicked off on Thursday June 29, Janelle was seen donning a floral-embellished cape as well as a matching floral crown.
The actress recently posed topless on the cover of Rolling Stone earlier this month while promoting her latest album, The Age Of Pleasure.
The music artist seemed to have no qualms about posing topless for the outlet, placing her hands delicately across her bare breasts.
While talking to the publication, the songstress admitted that, ‘I’m much happier when my t**ties are out and I can run around free.’
The Billboard Music Award winner looked like a queen, wearing long gold chains as tendrils. There were diamonds interspersed among the shoulder length jewelry. She was styled in natural looking makeup to showcase her beauty.
Janelle has previously opened up about gaining body confidence over the years, and touched on the topic on StyleLikeU’s What’s Underneath series earlier this month.
While wearing a sleek black suit and white dress shirt, which references to her past style, the singer was asked by the interviewer what the biggest insecurity she has either ‘worked on’ or has been ‘overcoming.’
As she removed her suit jacket, Monae began to pat her breasts and admitted, ‘It’s these. My boobies. I remember when I first started to wear my tuxedo, my breasts were not this big. They were smaller.’
With, you know, time, I started to get more curvy. My old shirts didn’t work. I had to change my wardrobe and I was just really uncomfortable.’
‘And also, like, my friends would comment on them, but they would always give me compliments like, “You have the best boobies” or “If I get a boob job, I’m taking pictures of your boobs” and you would think that I should be like, “Yes! Ooh!”‘
Janelle admitted that, ‘I was very uncomfortable with the change that was happening. Like it took me years to get comfortable with my boobs. It’s probably why I’m like, “Whoo! Free them!”‘
She further embraced the love of her body and her own body confidence by stating, ‘I love my stretch marks.’
‘When I was getting stretch marks as a teen, I used to be really self-conscious of them. I mean, going swimming was like hell for me because I was like, “Oh my God, everybody’s looking at my stretch marks.”‘
‘I sorta like them now, and when I see them on other bodies, specifically on the hips, it’s really sexy, so I like my little stretch marks,’ she added.
Later during the interview, the star became tearful and explained, ‘These are tears of joy. These are tears that celebrate the work that I have done to love all of me.’
‘Not some of me, but all of me-at every evolution, at every turn-my relationship with me is deeply important, because I know what it feels like to not love me.’
