Producer No I.D. shared the new song on social media, writing, “A legend. Sade, it was an honor.” ‘Flower of the Universe’ marks Sade’s first new song since 2010’s Soldier of Love. “I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway,” director Ava DuVernay said, regarding Sade’s appearance on the Wrinkle soundtrack. “She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget.”
