Scoop Season 1 Episode 1 – 6 Video Mp4 Download Movie
Director Hansal Mehta‘s Scoop tells the relevant and complicated true story of Jigna Vora, a journalist framed and imprisoned for the murder of fellow crime reporter based on J Dey, who was shot dead in 2011.
Here renamed Jagruti Pathak (Karishma Tanna), with J Dey now Jaideb Sen (Prosenjit Chatterjee), Scoop explores the lead-up to Sen’s murder and Pathak being framed for it, and then the complicated legal and criminal aftermath.
Things are kick-started when notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s brother’s driver is shot dead, apparently, according to the Mumbai Crime Branch, by rival gangster Chota Rajan. Sen is suspicious of this neat and tidy explanation. Pathak, who is extremely well-connected, secures an interview with Samson, one of Rajan’s close associates, ostensibly on the bases of providing information about Sen, which she never actually shares.
Nevertheless, a few days later Sen is killed, and a man claiming to be Rajan says Pathak compelled him to do it and provided personal information to help with the matter. When the case can’t be solved and press and public pressure begins to mount against the Crime Branch, Pathak is framed and arrested under the Maharashtra Control Of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
Scoop Season 1 Ending Explained
Despite there being no evidence against Pathak, her reputation is ruined. Those close to her deny ever having been close to her, her family is harassed, her defenders are persecuted themselves, and thanks to her journalistic work, Pathak is in incredible danger when she is placed in judicial custody despite the absence of any evidence.
What is on the flash drive?
Pathak is not completely alone, though. While she’s inside, Imran and a journalist, Sandeep, who worked with Sen, work together to prove her innocence.
Sandeep informs Imran that Sen discovered something significant in Europe before his death. He also met with Irani, Rajan’s trusted associate, who had been accused alongside Jagruti, to verify the story. Irani cautioned Sen that this revelation could cost him his life, just how Sen cautioned Pathak in much the same way.
Following Sen’s death, his wife discovers a flash drive that he had left in a secure bank vault. She hands it over to Imran, who finds call records stored on the flash drive. Imran and Sandeep suspect that these records were given to Sen by a former prominent member of Dawood’s gang named Iqbal Mirchi.
Sen’s theory is that the Mumbai police were protecting Dawood.
How does Pathak get out of jail?
Jagruti Pathak is in jail for over nine months, suffering various indignities and traumas. She’s assaulted, starved, and abandoned, all without the absence of any evidence against her whatsoever.
