Manchester United vs Leeds United’s match started with full attacking forces.
Man United seemed to respond shortly after conceding, but it looks like Leeds will head into half-time with the advantage. United have not failed to create chances and that has been encouraging.
Manchester United are gifting Leeds get-outs with some dawdling pieces of play and illogical fouling. Skubala has been preaching calm – in stark contrast to the start his side made – as half-time looms.
Despite Leeds’ front-footed first 10 minutes, United should be level at least.
They have had the opportunities and one criticism would be they have not varied it enough. Garnacho is still on the left and Rashford on the right. Weghorst looks out of kilter with the rest of the team.
Man United fans are not concealing their exasperation with their set-pieces, which have been rushed, underhit or overhit. They’ve been that bad.
Sabitzer has drawn the best save from Meslier so far (he should have saved it and made it look better than it was).
Some United fans might start to be dreading it is one of those nights but there is an hour left. Garnacho and Shaw all crunched in the last two minutes, the last of which was finally deemed a foul.
Garnacho really should do better with that chance. He shows composure to round Meslier and is calm to cut inside Ayling, but the shot is easy for Wober to head off the line.
