Ghanaian DJ, Musician, and Producer, Guilty Beatz organized a private listening session for his EP titled Different.
The Listening session was held at the Base Lounge at Cantonments and the crowd was made up of celebrities, Media persons, fans and yours truly me.
I saw the likes of actress Yvonne Nelson, Joey B, Kidi, J.derobie, CJ Biggerman, and Cina Soul, who were there to show support to Guilty Beatz.
The listening session was hosted by MzDru of Live FM and the conversation begun.
Before we listened to the EP, Guilty Beatz described the EP as Vibes, Surprise and more vibes.
The EP contains six (6) songs featuring Joeboy, Moonchild, MrEazi, J.Derobie, Nonso Amadi, Falz the Bahd guy and Joey B.
In the era where Afrobeat is fast taking over the African sound, Guilty Beatz indeed expressed himself differently by giving as an electronic-infused House EP.
The EP not only gives credence to Guilty Beatz as a producer or Musician but also expressed his disc jockeying side, which fans don’t get to notice most often.
The songs on the EP gave a new meaning to the title ‘Different’ and it is refreshing to listen to a Ghanaian project which sounds way off what we will tag as the ‘Ghanaian sound’.
The features on Different were also tight and feels well thought off as it gives the EP a Pan-African feel. All the acts were amazing making the project pleasing to the ear.
There is not a dull song off ‘Different’ and it is hard to pick a favorite but track 3 featuring J.Derobie earns my special pick.
