A member of the House of Representatives from Edo state, Johnson Agbonayinma, has claimed that defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) are now the bad eggs in the ruling party. Agbonayinma who defected from the PDP to the APC, said members of the opposition joined the ruling party with the intent of hampering Buhari’s anti-corruption war, The Tribune reports .There are bad eggs in APC are composed of PDP members who defected but they will fail. Those who wished Buhari dead have seen that the man is waxing stronger. God gave him a second chance for a special purpose to take Nigeria to the next level,” he said: Agbonayinma faulted PDP for criticising Buhari for suspending the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Ononghen and challenged the opposition to proffer a solution on how to fight corruption .The problem is about fighting corrupt people. The PDP only talks of due process when it involves fighting corruption. When armed robbers and looters take over the treasury, nobody talks of due process. PDP should proffer a solution on how to fight corruption since fighting corruption had turned out to be a crime by PDP,” he said. Meanwhile, Nigeria’s former president, Goodluck Jonathan, has described all the presidential candidates for the election of February 16, 2019, as good. He, however, said Atiku Abubakar, the flag bearer of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is the best among them. Jonathan, who said this at a PDP campaign rally in Bayelsa state on Tuesday, January 29, urged Bayelsans to vote massively for Atiku Abubakar. The former president further pleased with political office holders to be mindful that their positions are not meant to punish the people they are supposed to be serving.
