The group B third round of Qatar 2022 World Cup between Wales & England started with full attacking forces.
The first half was tough enough and ended with goalless draw. At the second half, Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford opened the scoreline at 50th minute.
Manchester City‘s Phil Foden doubled the chances with a nice goal assisted by Tottenham’s Harry Kane at 52th minute.
Again, with a great assist from Kalvin Phillips at 68th minute, Marcus Rashford extended the lead to 3 goals for Three Lions.
England breezed into the last-16 of the 2022 World Cup by smashing Wales 3-0 with the Dragons going home.
Marcus Rashford fired home a stunning free-kick to open the scoring before Phil Foden added a quick-fire second.
Rashford smashed home a fine second to secure the points for the Three Lions and send them through to the knockout phase as Group B winners.
That’s the end of that and England are through and top the group!
They will play Senegal in the last 16 and it was a comfortable win for Southgate’s men.
Rashford and Foden were the goalscorers as they ensured the Dragons crashed out of the World Cup.

Rashford shines in England’s big win
Marcus Rashford’s second-half double propelled England to a 3-0 win over neighbours Wales that sent them into the World Cup last 16 as Group B winners and ended Welsh hopes of reaching the knockout stage. The encounter came to life when Rashford curled home a free kick from the edge of the area in the 50th minute before Phil Foden arrived unmarked at the far post to sidefoot Harry Kane’s cross into the net a minute later. Rashford then inflicted a final blow when he cut inside and somehow managed to find the net with a shot that went through the legs of goalkeeper Danny Ward in the 68th. The win moved England to seven points and set up a tie against Senegal in the next round, while Wales finished bottom with one point as their first World Cup in 64 years ended without a victory and only one goal scored in three games.
