EPL: FA begins investigation after Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Liverpool

The Football Association has confirmed it is investigating an ‘incident’ that occurred during the second half of Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Liverpool on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta’s side edged the victory at the Emirates Stadium as Bukayo Saka’s penalty in the 76th minute settled a thrilling match.

But during the second half, referee Michael Oliver went to the touchline to speak with Klopp and Arteta.

When pressed on the incident after the game, Klopp and Arteta refused to elaborate.

But the FA announced on Sunday evening said that it is now reviewing the incident with Oliver and his match officials.

A statement from the FA on Sunday evening read: “We are aware of an incident that took place during the match between Arsenal and Liverpool.

“We are in dialogue with the match officials and will review the details of the incident.”
