What is perhaps less known to his fans is that he began his musical journey in church at the age of 10. Such was his talent that at barely ten years old, he became a junior choir leader in church. Upon his transition from gospel to secular music, Oxlade received harsh criticism from his uncles. However, this did not deter his dream to venture into the secular music industry.
