Alexis Sanchez could be heading closer to a switch to Manchester United as Daily star reports that the 29-year-old has agreed to join the Red Devils on a mammoth £350k-a-week deal, which will see him become the highest paid player at the club.
The Chilean had looked nailed on to join Manchester City, but the Citizens are stalling on the deal as they don’t want to pay more than £20 million for his signature and the fact that crocked Gabriel Jesus is ever closer to returning to first team football.
Sanchez was left out of the Arsenal squad that lost 2-1 to Bournemouth on the South Coast and after the game at the Vitality stadium, Arsene Wenger stated that an exit for the striker could be imminent.
United have gazumped City in the race for the forward, as we are closer to Arsenal’s valuation of around £35m and are even prepared to use Armenian attacking midfielder, Henrikh Mkhitaryan as a makeweight in the deal.
The player’s family were spotted in London during the week after arriving to support the player in his move.
