Note: This trick produced is officially announced by MTN, though it has been brought to the notice of the customers but it seems enough notification isn’t given on how to get the free MTN 5GB data with a simple logic and trick.
The data is stated below;

1GB – For referring a 3G sim to upgrade to 4G.
4GB – Data offered by MTN for customers who upgraded from 3G sim to 4G, now do you know where we are going?

Get 3G Sim card. Login to MyMtn app and click refer to 4G, the process of referring a user to upgrade to 4G network was officially announced by MTN and its backup with a whooping 1GB data.
And for the 3G sim which got upgraded will be awarded 4GB data-free, totaling 5GB data.
