Lady Commits Suicide Hours After Corps Member Kills Self – SEE PHOTOS

The wind of suicide spirit is blowing across the landscape of Nigeria devouring our youths, just a few hours after the demise of Motunrayo, a Youth Corper, another young lady. Patience Gonsum who was a staff of the Plateau State University, Bokkos has committed suicide.

Patience who was a single mother has allegedly drunk a Sniper in her in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.

 

According to her close friend, Pamela Jatau, who narrated the sad incident, Patience who was a staff of the Plateau State University, Bokkos, took her life on Thursday, January 9, 2020, after consuming the same substance.

The deceased who was married and had one child, according to Pamela, did not show any sign of depression and did not inform any of her friends that she was going through any difficulty as she always seemed happy.

On the day of her death, the graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Jos, was said to had gone to the market and bought food items and prepared food for the family only for them to find her dead body hours later, throwing the family into confusion and mourning.

“It is really sad that Pat would commit suicide,” her friend Pamela. “We do not know why she would take that step no matter what she was going through. She was always a happy woman and though we were very close, she did not tell me she had any problems either at work or with her family.

Her husband took good care of her, as far as I know and she dotted on her son. Maybe she was going through some form of depression but she did not tell anyone or we would have helped her deal with it.

May her soul rest in peace.

Patience’s death is coming a few days after a serving corps member from Kogi State, Bolufemi Princess Motunrayo, committed suicide after drinking two bottles of the dangerous substance.

Motunrayo had allegedly left behind a suicide note where she said that ‘life was not worth living.’

The suicide note read thus:

“I did this because I see nothing worth living. Mummy, I love you. Daddy I love you. Matthew and John, you guys should take care. We will meet where we will depart no more. I love you, guys.”
