City’s first attack and Gabriel Jesus did very well to get down the left, into the Arsenal box and cross. It missed the targets in the centre but fell nicely to De Bruyne in space.
But what a finish to admire – first time and into the top of the net with inch-perfect precision on the right foot. So many players would have skied that but the connection couldn’t have been sweeter.
Bright start by Arsenal and Gabriel Martinelli, who calls City keeper Ederson into early action. There didn’t appear to be a route to goal when Martinelli picked up the ball about 30 yards out but his persistence worked a shooting position and Ederson got down well to save.
