Meet Dr. Godwin Maduka (The Lion of Africa) Aspiring Candidate For 2021 Anambra State Governorship Election.

As the Anambra State governorship election approaches, YEMISI IZUORA feels the pulse of the people who have identified with the emerging political juggernaut Godwin Maduka.

Who among the numerous job seekers in Anambra state masquerading as political messiahs is truly inclined to socio-economically transform the state that has for decades yearned for development.

The upcoming gubernatorial election is seen by the bewildered Anambrarians an election that will settle major questions regarding who possesses the best qualifications to take Anambra State to the next level, both in name and in fact.

This is especially so given the challenges of the changing times and the attendant imperative for positive leadership in Anambra State.

As is customary with Anambra State governorship elections, the state is already awash with a deluge of political opportunists and adventurists who are surreptitiously reaching out to gullible grassroot voters with tall, innocuous, moonshine promises of extravagant dividends of democracy if given the mandate to govern the state.

But given the urgent and compelling need to redress the decay spanning the entire gamut of the state’s life and which has constituted a drag on the optimal advancement of the state, there exists an overwhelming need for the electorate to cast their buckets in someone who has a comparative advantage over the overzealous pack who are scheming to take us for another rough ride.

Given the foregoing, the amalgam of top-flight NGOs, Civil Society Groups, political veterans, coalition of political parties, cultural groups, co-operatives, media platforms and sundry pressure groups have decided, after mature deliberations, to regiment ourselves to a candidate that has the potential to guarantee the state a new lease of life in terms of the upward social mobility of its citizenry.

In all, one name stands out from the pack – Dr. Godwin Maduka The Lion of Africa.

Maduka is a man of tried capacities and iron nerve, a huge, powerful, and overwhelming force and a man of immense presence, a think home advocate, a philanthropist extra ordinary, a youth-friendly apologist, a man of cultural correctness.

Maduka is considered by teeming millions of voters in the state as an accomplished industrialist, a man of impeccable genealogy, a man with an in-depth knowledge of the nuances of governance / administration, a man of immense reach and lofty antecedents, a man without blemish, a man who takes an intelligent interests in any enterprise he undertakes, a man that has the genius to galvanise Anambra State to higher order developmental options.

He is the man destined by God to harness our universally acclaimed, superior resilient spirit. Dr. Maduka, in large measure, evidently distinguishes himself from the motley pack of sham and obdurate politicians who are a clear and present danger to the state and who, to a large extend should accept a vicarious responsibility for the embarrassing decay so self-evident in the state.

Like Frantz Fanon said “Each generation must, out of relative obscurity, discover its mission, fulfill it, or betray it”. It will therefore be our greatest undoing if we fail to appreciate the strategic relevance of Maduka in the evolving political dispensation. His political ambition should be seen for what it truly represents – a call to service.

In all considerations, Maduka is the candidate with proven, sterling antecedents and honour, whose undisputed attributes have the capacity to mainstream the state into a position of infinite pride.

He also amply demonstrates strength of character and sense of duty that will induce him to keep faith with the social contract he will eventually sign with the good people of Anambra State as their governor. As governor, he is sure to leave an evergreen legacy as a brilliant light shinning after a great darkness.

“But if we fail to appreciate the inestimable worth and resourcefulness of the likes of Dr. Maduka, our collective advancement will continue to be elusive and the much vaunted hyper resilience and acumen of Anambrarians will, as always, count for nothing. What Anambra State needs today is a breath of fresh, forward looking ideals which can only find expression through positive leadership.

If we disdain this reality this time around, we shall invariably foist again on ourselves an inept leadership that will further desolate our state with a string of laughable, ambivalent policies that will deepen the uninspiring situation of our dear state.

For once, let us to ourselves be true” said Maduka Coalition of Support Groups.
