The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Monday, July 8, has reserved judgment in the appeal against President Muhammadu Buhari academic qualification to contest the 2019 presidential election.
Whenever a court reserves a judgment, it means the court has taken arguments of both parties and is taking its time to look at evidences before it can give a final judgment.

At the court session on Monday, July 8, the lawyer representing the appellant, Ukpai Ukairo, insisted that the president was not academically qualified enough for the 2019 presidential election.
He added that the required certificates were not attached to his form CF001 submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) when he was being cleared for the election.
The counsel, therefore, prayed the court to allow the appeal of the case and that the decision of the federal High Court be set aside on the grounds of lack of justice.
Ukairo said that the court must nullify Buhari’s participation in the February 23 presidential election as he was not academically fit for the poll.
The respondent lawyers, therefore, asked the court to strike out the appeal as it lacks merit and uphold the judgment of the Federal High Court.
