Hon Timothy Owoeye Nude Video; Court remands 8 Suspects in Prison Custody (SEE NAMES OF SUSPECTS)
HON TIMOTHY OWOEYE: Justice Maureen Oyetenu of Federal High Court Osogbo division today remanded eight (8) accused persons in prison for defrauding Honourable Timothy Owoeye of Osun State House of Assembly.
Accused were arraigned on seven counts charge; conspiracy, pretence that they want to avert death foresaw on him, and advance free fraud contrary to section 8(a)(b) and (c) punishable under section 1(a)(b) and (c) of advance free fraud ACT 2010.
Prosecution counsel from the Ministry of Justice, Mr Moses Faremi substituted the previous charge preferred against the accused persons on 19th of October 2018.
Kazeem Badmus (ESQ) who appeared for the accused persons orally moved for the bail application of the accused but the prosecuting counsel was against the bail due to sensitivity of the matter.
After hot argument in the point of law Justice Oyetenu ordered the counsel to the accused to present written bail application before the Court.
Justice Oyetenu then ordered the accused persons to be remanded in prison and he adjourned the matter to 26th day of November 2018.
It will be recalled that the nude videos of the Majority Leader of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye went viral few months ago leading to the arrest of the suspects.
The accused were said to have used the leaked video to blackmail Hon. Timothy Owoeye in order to extort millions of Naira from him.
