
Governor Obiano inspects finishing works on Golden Tulip Resort
Governor Willie Obiano says his government is focused more on delivering dividends of good governance to the people rather than playing politics.
The governor made this known when he inspected finishing works on Golden Tulip Resort, Agulu.
Governor Obiano was on arrival, conducted round the various arms of the facility by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Golden Tulip West Africa, Mr Amaechi Ndili.
Addressing Newsmen after the inspection, Governor Obiano revealed that his government has paid all the money required to complete the project, adding that he is committed to fulfilling all campaign promises to Ndi Anambra.
The governor said he has the assurances of the contractor handling the project that the project will be completed before his swearing in on the 17th of next month, noting that the first retreat of the State Executive Council after the swearing in will be at the facility.
The Chief Executive Officer of Golden Tulip hotels, Mr Ndili said they are working hand in hand with the State government to deliver a quality project that when completed, will be a reference point in hospitality business and revealed that they also wish to use the facility to train experts in the hospitality industry.
The project engineer of the Contracting firm handling the project, Mr Mark Tu promised that they will deliver the Project in line with the specifications and on schedule.
The President General of Agulu People’s Union, Chief Andy Orakwelu thanked Governor Obiano for remaining true to his promise to continue and complete the project and said Ndi Agulu look forward to the numerous socio-economic benefits the project will avail them when completed.
It will be recalled that the resort which was initially Agulu Lake Hotels, was handed over last year to Golden Tulip, a known brand in hospitality management
