Report: Chelsea Make First Move To Sign Arturo Vidal From Bayern Munich

Chelsea have taken the first steps to signing Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal, according to reports.

Chelsea have been tipped to sign Vidal from Bayern Munich with the player previously playing under Antonio Conte at Juventus.

The Chile international’s time at the Allianz Arena appears to be drawing to a close, with Bayern closing in on the signing of Leon Goretzka.

And German newspaper Sport Bild claim that Chelsea have taken the first steps to securing Vidal’s signature.

It is said that Conte has personally sounded out the player about making the move to Stamford Bridge.

Bayern are open to offers for Vidal, whose contract expires in the summer of 2019.

Bild report Chelsea have promised Vidal that his salary will be doubled should he make the move to the Premier League.

And the Blues are reportedly confident of landing their man for just £31million.

Vidal has previously been linked with a move to England with Manchester United.

But Chelsea, it now seems, are best-placed to sign the midfielder.
